As expected, I was rather useless for the focus group peeps last night, but they still paid me $100. If you're looking for some spare cash, this is not a bad option. It turned out to be a group of six guys, including myself, who were Pontiac owners and who were looking into buying an SUV (Okay, so I MAY have falsely given them the impression that I was in the market for an SUV). They had us look at pictures of cars, do some activities, and then make comments on what we look for in a vehicle -- all of which reinforced my belief that I know nothing about cars. After getting home, I stayed up late to put the finishing touches on my state taxes (only to realize halfway to the commuter rail station that I had dropped the envelope containing my taxes on the floor and forgot to pick it up...a mad dash back to the house ensued) and to watch Ben Kweller on Conan. Unfortunately, these activities kept me from doing laundry, which I truly should have done. I had to wear white socks to work today, which means I look a little like this right now, sans sparkly jacket and hat.
