The Gotho de Mayo party went off without many surprises, except Irf wasn't there. Oh, and someone put hot sauce in all of the food and sangria. But aside from that, it was fun, yet relatively uneventful.

On Saturday, my Dad mentioned that his basketball team was going to be missing a few players for first round play-off game tonight and he asked if Irf and I could fill in so they wouldn't forfeit. We agreed to play, but my Dad informed me of a few more details during Mother's Day dinner, which went something like this:

Me: So we can't use our real names?
Dad: No. They'll know you're not on the team.
Me: What if I call Irfan by his real name by accident?
Dad: Maybe his name is Bob Irfan.
Mom: It sounds like this is cheating.
Me: Can I call you Dad?
Dad: Absolutely not.
Me: What?!? What can I call you?
Dad: Call me Ray.
Mom: This is ridiculous.

Anyway, we're playing in the game -- under assumed names. That's all you really need to know.

Apparently, the DNC is handing out press credentials to bloggers. Perhaps I should apply, though an extra 11,095 hits a day would probably help my case.
