Hey there, A-Holes!
Not only did nobody make any comments, but someone mockingly moved my hit-counter up by almost 200. I realize that the creation of the message board was a bit overzealous, but am I going to have to move to overtly controversial topics to get any feedback? Are you not satisfied with hearing about my daily commute? Do you know what it's like writing to a proverbial brick wall? It sucks. But do you know what I am? A glutton for punishment...so on with the blog.
My bus almost got into an accident on the way from North Station to World Trade this morning. We were in the tunnel, approaching our exit, but the traffic was backed up on the exit ramp. The bus driver hit the brakes pretty hard and I looked up in time to see that we were approaching a Boston Coach shuttle bus at a rapid rate. I'm not kidding when I tell you that we ended up inches away from hitting the shuttle. This short distance was magnified by the fact that we were in one of those flat-nosed buses, so if our windshield were not there, our bus driver could have reached out and touched the other bus. Granted, the bus driver had extraordinarily long arms. But seriously, I could see the people in the back of the bus we were about to hit, and these people seemed to have no idea that a 10 ton bus was headed straight for them. I guess near-death experiences don't have the same impact on you when you don't actually know they've occured.
I know, I know...that story wasn't great, but it was either that or talk about Mario Tennis with Steve and The Bean last night. That's it for today, I'm out like trout.
