Mestee Blogger

I started today in a good mood...thinking about our party tomorrow and how I was on my way back to financial stability with tons of overtime hours in the past few weeks. Then I talked to my mechanic.

Mechanic: Your brakes have worn down pre-maturely becuase your (insert car term I don't understand) were too tight.
Me: Oh, my (c.t.i.d.u) were too tight?
Mechanic: Yeah. But don't worry...we're not talking a lot of money here.
Me: Oh, good.
Mechanic: It's gonna cost $465 for the job.

Now, at this point, I probably should have explained to my millionaire mechanic that, to a Johnny Paycheck like myself, $465 is a lot of money. In fact, $465 would even cover the $440 I owe to my dentist this month. Instead, though, I said "okay, do it". I realize that this is the Mestee Blogger and not the Mestee Bitcher, so I'll spare you from the whining.

The Red Sox posted another win last night, and things are looking good as they head into this weekend's homestand against the victory-challenged Kansas City Royals. If you feel like you're getting too excited about the Sox, you could go see this tonight and re-experience the nightmare end to last season. Enjoy the weather.
