Hello, you. Today I am a little sore from playing tennis last night with Fernald. I suppose that this is more respectable than being a little sore from playing, say, Tiger Woods Golf 2003. I was sort of hoping for a quick set, but both of us held serve for the most part, and it seemed like every single game went to deuce (insert joke).

Since I got bacon and eggs this morning from the cafeteria, I had my usual throw-down with the German cashier/Lunch Lady. You see, instead of charging by the pound, like they do with most things in the cafeteria, they charge per egg. This is a problem when you're dealing with scrambled eggs. Our interactions used to go like this:

Lunch Lady: How many eggs?
Brian: (shrugging shoulders) You tell me.
Lunch Lady: One scoop is one egg.
Brian: I take lots of small scoops to avoid the crusty eggs.
Lunch Lady:(Rolls eyes, arbitrarily charges for one or two eggs)

A few weeks ago, I got fed up with it, so I tried this:

Lunch Lady: How many eggs?
Brian: (with heaping pile of eggs) One egg.
Lunch Lady: One egg?
Brian: Yes.
Lunch Lady:(knows she has been defeated, charges for one egg).

I felt bad for exploiting her like that, so now I let her make the call...but I think she is still afraid to charge me for more than one egg.

Speaking of eggs, Nomaaaah was supposed to make his triumphant return tonight (he must be doing something right -- he's the leading shortstop vote-getter for All-Star game, though he hasn't actually played a game yet) but the word on the street is that he'll sit out for a few more games.

If you are one of the people that actually watch poker on ESPN, you should read this.
