...Everybody Move to the Back of the Bus

I may have spoken too soon, since the Sox lost to Toronto last night. The Blue Jay's pitching was exceptional, though, so I don't think the Sox have lost it quite yet (all readers, commence knocking on wood). Last night, I had peppers, mushrooms, and noodles, topped with chili sauce for dinner. It has truly become my go-to meal when I feel like cooking...but it really needs a name. I asked for name suggestions a while ago, but nobody seemed to have any, so I'll make it official this time...see the end of this entry for details.
This morning on the WTC shuttle bus, we were departing from North Station when the bus stopped to pick up a few stragglers. There was a man and a woman, both of whom made their way toward the back of the bus to find an open seat. As I surveyed the situation, I realized that only two seats remained...both of them were in the back row, where there are five seats across. I happened to have one of those seats, and the other two were occupied by a mustachioed man with a physique reminiscent of a bowling ball and a woman sporting a muumuu. The male straggler asked if there was "enough room back there", to which the man sitting next to me said "of course". At this moment, I seriously questioned the spacial relation skills of this man. Clearly two more people could not fit in the back row with us. Despite that fact, the man and the woman took a seat, forcing me to turn my shoulders to allow for more space. With my head pressed on the window and the emergency release handle firmly in my armpit, I had to endure the rest of the ride without my newspaper, which it was now physically impossible for me to open. I've learned my lesson to never sit in the back again.

Question of the Day: What should I call my signature dish, made with peppers, mushrooms, noodles, (occasionally shrimp) and topped with chili sauce? The person submitting the best name will have the opportunity to be the first-ever guest blogger. I'll let the winner post an entry on Thursday or Friday. You can do it!
