I Love That Fishy Water....Oh, Boston You're My Home!
Yesterday was another sweaty day in Boston, with about 907% humidity. I'm almost sure that someone will write in and say "Brian, that would mean it's raining...plus, there is no such thing as 907% humidity". I know, but I'm a sucker for hyperbole. Anyway, I left my desk at 5:55 and, by 6:00, I had hit the wave of humidity that was waiting for me outside the front doors of the building. I had to sweat it out for two minutes until seeking further AC shelter in the form of the World Trade shuttle bus. On this day, luck was not on my side. Monday started out with me missing the commuter rail and then getting splashed by our crazy fish with nasty fish-water while I was feeding them in the morning, so it was only fitting that it would end with my bus breaking down half way to North Station. It was a good 10-15 minute walk to North Station from where we broke down, so I missed the commuter rail and was left to fester in the sweat that I had acquired on my walk across the city.
I finally made it home around 7:20 or so and spent some QT with the new roomies. Shortly after enjoying the delicious leftover chicken parm from my trip home, I went to the gym and had myself a workout. I actually tried the sauna at the gym for the first time ever, which I really enjoyed. The temperature in the sauna was slightly higher than in my room at Boston Ave, but I'm sure if I turned the fans off at night, it would be almost the same.
Thanks to Julia #1 for this story. I don't know about you, but nothing brightens up my day like reading about a chain-smoking chimp!
