Tumbleweeds
It was a quiet weekend at Boston Ave. Irf is in Minnesota visiting his brother, Fernald and Sheri went to a wedding in New Jersey, Steve was at a bachelor party in New Hampshire and Hufton was in New Hampshire for reasons unknown. I was okay with hanging out by myself on Friday night. I went to Hollywood Video and rented a copy of "Elephant", which I had been meaning to see for a while. It was written by Gus van Sant, who directed Good Will Hunting. It was terrible. I'm no professional movie critic, but I will just say that when the credits rolled, I wanted my money back, along with 84 minutes of my life. That's just my opinion.
I called Hufton on Saturday to see if there was a possibility of actually seeing a live person this weekend. We had this conversation...
Me: Hey Hufton...what are you doing?
Hufton: I've read almost 1000 pages in two days.
Me: Wow, that's a lot.
Hufton: Yeah, I just really want to finish this book.
Me: How much do you have left?
Hufton: About 400 pages.
So Hufton was a no-go. I have come to understand that when you (a person) are competing for Hufton's attention, and your competitor is a book, you will lose every single time. I ended up spending some serious QT with the fam on both Saturday and Sunday nights. I went to my Aunt's house on Saturday and my house in Londonderry on Sunday, while fitting in a round of golf with my Dad and Joe Taranto in between.
I got this little note on Friday:
(Dearest Mestee),
What the hell is this crap? What are we paying you for, anyway? Slacker!

Lex,
How am I supposed to react to this negative feedback? I try so hard to amuse you day in and day out...sometimes I just get so tired. You like me because you think I'm funny. Funny how? Am I a clown, here to amuse you? Well, I guess I am. But sometimes I don't have anything to write about, which was the case on Friday, which is why I didn't write anything. Please be understanding...Bloggers need love too.

Okay kids, Question of the Day...and this one has actual consequences!
Jack's bachelor party will be held during this upcoming weekend. He has no idea what we're doing to/for/with him. Should he be able to call his Fiancee during his bachelor party weekend? Keep in mind, she will be made aware of his whereabouts by a third party. Let me know what you think. I'm willing to keep the polls open for the rest of the week if there is low voter turnout.
