We're Not in Kansas Anymore

Here it is, the moment you've been waiting for: the Centennial Post. That's right, entry 100 in the Mestee Blogger. If this were a sitcom, I'd probably do a clip show, recapping all that's happened so far -- but this is not a sitcom, so I won't do that. Last night I got back from the gym and got ready to make some dinner. The new roomies, Timmy, Jimmy, and Mike, had procured a 30 pack of the silver bullet while I was gone and asked me if I wanted to play some Beirut. Am I in the right place? For the past 3 years, if I came home on a Thursday night at 9:00 PM, I could expect to see Hufton brushing his teeth and Irf in his room playing Age of Empires II. Now they want me to play drinking games on a Thursday? I've got to get used to this. A brief aside: I feel like I've been over-doing the italics lately, though every use seems to be justified. If this bothers you, feel free to let me know. That way, I can start exploiting other tools instead, like

Anyway...Timmy, Jimmy and Mike were highly intrigued as I was making my regionally famous "Ralph Surprise" last night. Timmy was awe-struck by the amount of vegetables, Mike was confused by my choice of pots and pans, and Jimmy was impressed that I could cook something more complicated than hot dogs. In fact, Jimmy is on a diet with a surprisingly high hot dog content. This is because hot dogs are number one on a short list of hot meals he can prepare. Well, that's all for this Friday. I'll leave you an article about this girly man. Enjoy the long weekend.
