"P" is for Pedro

Pedro may have looked silly at the plate (though he did draw a walk), but he was all business on the hill last night. Now the Sox are up 3-0. If you're like me, you're probably wondering "Is this really happening?". It seems impossible -- improbable, at best. It would simultaneously be the first time that I've witnessed a Boston World Series victory and the first time that my grandfather has seen one. There just aren't that many events you can say that about, which I think helps to capture the momentousness of the potential victory. If it happens (I'm not sure if my learned baseball pessimism will ever disappear), Red Sox fans might not be sure what to think. I just noticed that Bill Simmons has speculated on this very topic in his column today...you can read it here. I need to get going, so it's a short blog today. I'll give you an InfoGraphic from The Onion. Maybe that will make you happy.

Just for now, I'll replace the Semi-Occasional Phrase of the Day with the more practical Question of the Day: Does anybody have any suggestions as to what I should be for Halloween this year?
