Time to Make the Donuts

6:55 AM Alarm goes off for the first time. I gain slight consciousness and blindly slap at the snooze button.

7:11 AM Alarm sounds again. Like a bear coming out of hibernation, I open my eyes...now angry and confused. I momentarily stare at the alarm clock on the wall and attempt to process the sounds emitting from it. I lunge and hit the snooze again.

7:23 AM Alarm 2 goes of for the first time. I've reached semi-consciousness, coming to grips with the fact that I need to be somewhere in an hour or so.

7:30 AM After a seven minute debate with myself over the pros and cons of calling in sick, I decide to get out of bed and go to the shower.

7:45 AM Out of the shower and back up to my room ahead of time. This time surplus always corrects itself by me going faster or slower depending on how much time I have.

7:55 AM After a slight delay finding a clean wife-beater and running back up to my room to get my T pass, I have squandered my time surplus.

7:59 AM I arrive at West Medford station. Train arrives at West Medford station. I board train. Success.

9:36 AM Go downstairs to get some breakfast at the cafeteria. Begin to get sneaking suspicion that my fly is down, but cannot check because my hands are full and there is no way to survey the situation discretely.

9:37 AM After walking through a corridor filled with fellow employees, my suspicions are confirmed. I've been parading around the office all morning, showcasing my boxers. Sweet.

10:00 AM Meeting in the Seagull Conference Room! My boss tries to maintain order, but all we manage to do is make jokes about the girl that just quit and make up a fake story about how our boss promised he'd buy us lunch.

11:30 AM Time to blog.

Jacko came down last night and we went to Uno's. On our way there, we dropped in to say hello to Jen and Sarah, who have done a pretty nice job putting their new place together. But there are dog curtains in the kitchen.

Let us rejoice. There is a new Onion today.
