Blogging in a Winter Wonderland

It is just over a week until Christmas. If you haven't finished your Christmas shopping yet, start panicking. If you are a guy, this is the norm, so stop panicking. Women, continue panicking! I have about 75% of my shopping done, and I have done 100% of my shopping online so far. Just call me Captain Technology! Actually, don't call me that. It would just be embarrassing for both of us. Anyway, here's hoping everything shows up on time.

I played hoops last night in our regular Tuesday night league, but I was the only representative from Boston Ave. Brendan was doing church-related things and Timmy thinks he might have a stress fracture in his foot, so I had to go it alone this week. We ended up with 10 people there, so we went 4-on-4 with subs, which is the ideal set-up with the small court we play on. I definitely led both teams in shots blocked. That is not to be confused with the more desirable "blocked shots" category, since I refer to the amount of times I threw up a shot that was blocked by somebody else. Most of the time it was this random guy who wasn't even guarding me, but seemed to come out of nowhere any time I even looked like I was thinking about putting up a shot in the paint.

Tomorrow is the annual Fidelity Holiday Party, which is sort of like the most expensive wedding you could ever imagine having, except 100 times more expensive. We're talking open bar for 10,000 people, along with free steak, shrimp, and sushi. If only there were a market for Financial Analysts Gone Wild videos...

Lastly, Adios Pedro, Hola Edgar.
