After I got home from work yesterday, I went to Redbones for a going-away party for Liz Cate, thrown by her former Tufts co-workers (even though she is only "going away" to MIT, a few miles away). I showed up, went downstairs, and quickly spotted Liz sitting at a table with a few people I didn't know. Unfortunately, I was the only "outsider" in attendence, but it worked out okay. I ended up talking to an older woman who seemed pretty nice, though, after she left, I was told by all of her co-workers that she was a terrible, terrible person. After hearing some stories about her, I had to agree. Clearly, I am a bad judge of character.

I got home and watched the end of Love, Actually, which I had begun to watch the night before on demand. I felt less ashamed when I learned that Jimmy and Mike had watched the movie as well, but still, maybe I need to join a support group. Hello everyone, my name is Brian, and I like to watch chick flicks. It sort of reminds me of that Kids in the Hall skit Girl-Drink Drunk, where the guy starts drinking Chocalate Choo Choos and gets hooked on progressively girlier drinks, until he is drinking blue concoctions from a hollowed out pineapple with lit sparklers coming out of the side. Let's just hope my taste in movies gets a boost of testosterone in the near future.
