What's a Liger?
Note: Anything you read beyond this point will not be interesting. You have been warned.
I finished up my Christmas shopping last night. I must say, there are some decent sales as you get closer to the 25th. Of course, I can't tell you where I went shopping because some of the gifts might be for you, but probably not.
The United States of Leland, a movie which I had never heard of, but was interested in seeing after watching a preview. Last night, I was reading Rolling Stone, which listed The U.S.O.L as one of the worst films of 2004. Then again, they also gave Napoleon Dynamite a grade of "C". The presence of the "steak in the face" scene alone should have earned it a higher mark...Not to mention the presence of "Lafawnduh". Rolling Stone is clearly unappreciative of these facts.
Click here and you can see how your generosity around the holidays stacks up against your fellow shoppers. Also, there's an amusing section on the practice of "re-gifting", with some instances of people getting back the same gifts they gave the year before, one of which was a bread maker a la "Old School".
I will be occupying spaces other than my cubicle from this afternoon until next Wednesday. The fate of the blog between now and then is presently uncertain.
