T.G.I.M.

This weekend seemed to go by pretty fast, though yesterday seemed like it was really long. Go figure. No, seriously, go and figure how that happened.

All of the roomies plus Timmy's girlfriend, Leighann, and Sheri went to Uno's on Friday night. It seemed like most of the time was spent trying to convince Timmy to eat his breadstick. He said he wouldn't eat it because there was cheese in it, and that he didn't like to eat bread with cheese. It was soon pointed out to him that he liked pizza, but this did not stop him from keeping up his argument. He also mentioned that he had a breakthrough the day before, eating soup for the first time in 15 years. Reasons for this remain a mystery.

On Saturday night, I went out with Jimmy and Mike to Central Square. We met up with Liz Cate, Greg Cate, and Liz's friend Brianne at Phoenix Landing. My first meeting with Brianne a few years ago went like this:

Brian: So, where are you from originally?
Brianne: Indianapolis.
Brian: Oh, really? Where abouts?
Brianne: You know Indianapolis?
Brian: Uh, no. (Awkward silence)

Saturday night's meeting went like this:

Brian: Greg, this is Mike and Jimmy...Jimmy and Mike, this is Greg.
Brianne: (To me, looking for introduction) Who are these guys?
Brian: These are my roommates Jimmy and Mike...Jimmy and Mike, uh...

I blanked on her name. Completely. Not a clue. Instead of trying to fudge it, I kind of trailed off and pretended I never started talking. As it turns out, that was probably just as awkward at making a wild guess at her name. Tammy? Ginger? Misty? I had no clue...not even a starting letter to work with. The moral of the story is: I'm a jackass.

On Sunday afternoon, my Dad took me, Sarah, and Jenn Hufton out to lunch at The Chateau in Andover. We had a good time speculating the size of a second drink refill, after seeing that the first refill came in a glass 3/4 the size of the initial glass, and also discussing the general merits of Dance 360 (careful office workers, the link plays music).

Later on Sunday night, I met my Mom and my Aunt at Sarah and Jenn's place for dessert. My Mom and Aunt came back to Boston Ave afterwards, because my Aunt hasn't seen the place yet. The place was in shambles when I left, as Brendan and Sheri were taking down the Christmas tree and decorations. I sort of expected it to still be messy when I got home, but Brendan and Sheri had miraculously cleaned everything up by the time I got back. Sweet.

This may be one of the more interesting web pages I've stumbled across. The Salary Clock. It has the potential to be disheartening, though. I stopped it when Tiger Woods made $50,000.24 by the time I made $35. This tool can also be used for fun experiments like "How Much Did I Get Paid to Write the Blog?"
