After a brief visit to the gym last night, I went over to Sarah's apartment to check out the new 55-inch TV that they acquired last weekend. On the way there, I stopped at Subway for a Sweet Onion Chicken Teryaki, since I hadn't eaten dinner yet. I knew my plan had failed when I saw a handwritten note on the door to the sub shop: "Closed at 8:00 tonight - The Management". I could see the kids working there, cleaning up and getting ready to go. Clearly, this was no decision made by "The Management", but rather two teenagers who were sick of making subs. I suppose this was not unlike the time where a few of us decided to close down the T-Mobile store while we watched the Patriots victory parade a few years ago, but still, I wanted me some chicken teryaki!
Jenn Hufton came back to the apartment around 11:30. She had been hanging out with some people at the Burren, including Nate Gamache. Apparently, she had shown him the MesteeBlogger entry about me running into him at North Station. I can only imagine that he was weirded out by this. I know I would be. That's part of the reason that Timmy, Jimmy, and Mike are generally unaware of MesteeBlogger: once I started writing about them (or at least mentioning them in relation to me), I thought it would be weird for them to know that an account of the things they did around me would (and had already) appeared online. Liz Cate mentioned it to them once, and I just kind of pretended like she was crazy. They didn't seem to express further interest.
For those who aren't looking forward to Valentine's Day...You've got company.
