We're finally here in France, enjoying all that the culture has to offer, like cheap wine, pink toilet paper, and droves of Asian tourists.

My flight was pretty enjoyable, passing as quickly as a 7 hour flight by yourself can pass. I sat next to a Frenchman and we became friendly when I helped him look for his complimentary headphones(we later rejoiced when he found them between the seat in front of him and the tray table). I enjoyed the novelty of the camera placed on the nose of the plane, adding a sort of video game effect to the take-off. I watched 3 movies on the TV at my seat during the trip. I watched Without a paddle, which was surprisingly funny, assuming you didn't think it would be funny at all. After that, I watched half of Sideways, which I've already seen. It was the made for TV version, so it included many awkward voice-over edits, the most curious of which was the replacement of the word "asshole" with "Ashcroft". I wonder what the former attourney general thinks of that one.

Okay, I'm out of time and this Euro keyboard is slowing me down. For example, the last sentence would now read:
