Full House, No Olsen Twins

Last night was poker night, and while it wasn't surprising that Rudman didn't show up (this time he was busy "proving that mobius transformations preserve geodesics in the hyperbolic plane"), it was surprising that the game was over in an hour and a half, with Mike emerging vic-vic-vic victorious. Timmy provided an apt summary of the game to Brendan (on vacay in Florida) in an email sent out this morning:

Mike won in about 90 minutes. Jimmy hosed me with a low straight on an
all-in with 3 10's. Brian got porked even harder losing on 3 10's to a
full house (10's over 6's). Jimmy then lost going all in on a straight
(A, 2, 3, 4, 6). If he knew how to play poker, he'd realize that isn't a
straight.

This morning, I had the displeasure of sitting in on what seemed to be the longest and most boring meeting ever held. To add insult to injury, they forgot to book a conference room, so the meeting was held in the kitchen. This is slightly misleading, since we have a very large, modern kitchen with couches arranged in a sitting area off to the side...but still. Every topic seemed to be either way below me (aimed at the "new guys") or so far beyond my comprehension (NOTHING to do with anything I'm responsible for) that I gained almost no new information over the course of an hour and a half.

My trip begins in 9 days, and still no sign of my new passport. Hopefully, it will be arriving tomorrow or Tuesday. I really don't want this to come down to the last minute.

Remember Winnie Cooper, oh, I mean Winnie Cooper from The Wonder Years? Well, she's pretty hot now. Also, she's pretty good at math. In fact, under the heading of "The Person" on her website, you'll find the mathematics section, where she answers math questions that are sent to her through the site. Better bring your thinking caps, though. As the former Miss Cooper warns: "...math is not easy".

Also, get your favorite rock band font here. Trust me, it will be awesome. Bonus points for anyone who turns in work to their boss written in "Korn".
