Snow Day

It's a holiday, but I'm at work. Me and three other people currently occupy my office, normally filled by hundreds. It's easier to do this knowing that I won't have to work next week.

As I was driving here, I saw a mini-van at a stop light with a bumper sticker that read "The People of the Name Jesus". I couldn't really figure this one out. Maybe it was a group of hispanic people who had all been named Jesus, and they decided to form a group that got together once a week to hang out and talk about how they had all been named "Jesus". Perhaps it was just a group called "The People of the Name", and they were all so fed up with answering the question people always asked them ("What kind of crappy name for a group is that?") that they assigned one of their members with poor punctuation skills to write the copy for an angry bumper sticker reading "The People of the Name. Jesus!". Most likely, it's...oh. I just found out from one of my fellow bloggers' post that it is the motto of the United Pentacostal Church. Not very exciting. This blogger (Cheaper Than Therapy...not to be confused with www.CheaperThanTherapy.com) did manage to list all of the other bumper stickers accompanying "The People of the Name Jesus" on the back of a truck:

The People of the Name - Jesus: United Pentecostal Church
American flags (x 2)
Teamsters Union (x 2)
Kentucky Farm Bureau Insurance
Bush/Cheney 2004
Ready To Be Free (with www.readytobefree.com web address listed)
Elect Geoff Davis to Congress

Now that that's settled, I can get back to work.

Hey, now we know where Dubya got his inspiration for privatizing Social Security!
