Lunch with Billy, Glockenspiels, Etc.

Lunch with Billy went okay. As we sat across from each other with our lunch trays and Styrofoam cups, it felt like a bad man-date. And to answer your question: Yes, there is such a thing as a good man-date. Dinner with Irf at the Border Cafe, a movie with Rudman in Harvard Square...ah, those were the days. I digress. Once Billy found out I went to France last week, we spent most of the time talking about foreign currency exchange rates, which somehow segued into corporate giants taking over the sports and sporting arenas. I saw him on the bus this morning, but there was no request for lunch. He didn't even call me.

As I gathered my things in preparation to leave the office last night, I heard that it already started snowing outside, which angered me slightly. When I actually left the office and was hit in the face with freezing rain and snow being blown by high-forced swirling winds, I wanted to raise two middle fingers to the sky and curse the storm. I didn't though, because my boss was behind me. It was actually some of the most unpleasant weather I've had to endure in a while. This is getting boring...how about a picture?

Here is one of me proving once and for all that my head is three times the size of Hufton's...

We had a discussion at the house last night as to what musical instrument is used to make that sound that plays on Law and Order. You know, that sound when the screen goes black and they list the location of the next scene. Mike said it was definitely two separate instruments, but this was not a satisfactory answer for us, as he would not clarify which two instruments. Brendan suggested the glockenspiel and xylophone, but Sheri insisted that Brendan just liked saying the word "glockenspiel". I decided that the sound was a marimba, and nothing else. I'm sorry you just had to read this terribly boring and pointless paragraph, but if you have any insight into the sound, feel free to let me know.

Hey look, Nick Carter was charged with DUI. The only thing more embarassing than that would be a co-worker discovering you as you are inexplicably looking at pictures of Nick Carter on your computer to decide which one would be best for your blog. My sister once dressed up as Nick Carter for Halloween. I guess that's pretty embarassing, too.
