Drunk Guys,

All three of you jumped the gun a little bit. The first entry in MesteeBlogger took place on April 14th, 2004, which makes today the anniversary. One could -- and will, I'm sure -- argue that yesterday marked the completion of one full year of blogging. However, today is is the anniversary. Now go prank call Kevin Kopf's surprisingly nice mother before your buzz wears off.

The MesteeBlogger has been through a lot this year. We've seen the emergence and disappearence of Bob from Boise and Ali G. There was the introduction of the Blog Poll and the far less popular Blogger Board, which has just become a place for Hufton to hold fictional and mildly obscene cyber conversations with himself. The "Sentence of the Day" never caught on either. You know, when I wrote a sentence and challenged the readers to use it at some point during their day and report the results? Oh, you don't remember? Yeah, there's a reason it didn't catch on.

I've written entries from the District of Columbia, New York City, and even Paris. I've discussed my social inadequacies, my attempts to flee from a co-worker named Billy, and even my "Do Not Eat" foods (Olive Loaf, anyone?). I'm sort of wondering when I'm going to run out of things to talk about and when the blog will be done for good. I'm guessing those events will occur at around the same time. For now, though, I'll keep the egocentric prose flowing.

Remember that 1460 you got on your SAT? It's just not going to sound as impressive to your kids.
