Show-ow-ow Yippee Yo Yippee Yay

It was nice to enjoy the warm weather this weekend. We opened up all the windows in the house, lifted the shades, and were able to revel in the realization that this would begin the three week period in New England called Spring. I couldn't help but not experiencing a touch of schadenfreude while watching the news footage of people in Denver shoveling their driveways this weekend. It was nice to know that we weren't experiencing the worst weather in the country. I had plans to go out on the town at some point, maybe even drinking a beer outside. However, I fell asleep on the couch Friday night and woke up at 11:00 pm, which pretty much ruined any possibility of going out. Then, on Saturday night, I had all intentions of going out to a bar, but I had a mysterious lingering foot injury from our basketball game earlier in the day (the one where we got beaten by kids ten years younger than us). I didn't want to be the "no-fun guy" who wanted to go home early because his foot hurt, so I decided to cancel any plans of going out.

Some of you may remember a certain Halloween party where a certain person's girlfriend got locked in the bathroom. You will most likely also remember Andy MacInnis taking a running start and breaking down said door to free said girlfriend. The door got fixed and held on for a while, but last week it broke again. We used it on one hinge for a while, but Jimmy and Brendan (or maybe just one of them?) removed the door entirely on Saturday, so as not to cause any more damage to the other hinge. Because of this, I took the rare open-door shower this morning. It was a little odd, because our sliding shower door is translucent, giving any passer-by a good look at Mestee backside. As a courtesy to any such passer-by, I used a strategically placed towel on the outside of the door so as to discontinue the Boston Ave tradition of roommate nudity (ex: The thermostat incedent, backwards invasion of Hufton's room, etc).

Kids are eating so bad these days that even Cookie Monster is joining the Atkins Revolution, just to set a good example.
