So Close, Yet So Far Away

In our card game last night, I made it to the finals against Timmy, but he took it when I got a little too anxious to end the game, win or lose. It looked like Jimmy was going to win for sure when he knocked Mike out early with four of a kind. Jimmy seems to get amazing cards all the time, but somehow Tim knocked him out last night. I can already see that I'm developing a problem with Fantasy Baseball. The strategies can get so complicated that I've sensed an obsession coming on, but I'm trying hard to fight it. I find that I watch the Red Sox and get excited when Johnny Damon does well (*gulp* he's on my...fantasy team) and get a little resentful when David Ortiz racks up the big stats (he's on Brendan's team). This was part of my problem with fantasy sports to begin with -- it takes away from the actual games. I promise you that I won't mention fantasy baseball again and that I will never utter the words "he's on my fantasy team" unless somebody asks me directly.

Has anybody else seen The Office (American version) on TV? I wasn't sure about it at first, but I actually laughed out loud watching it by myself the other night (a pretty rare event). If you haven't seen it yet, you should.

Here's the new Weezer single.
