You Say It's Your Birthday
The Britney Spears baby name question has been up for quite a while, so I suppose it's time I give the final results. However, before I do, I'd like to point out that Spin Magazine is now running the same poll on their website. Granted, the choices are different. They've given their readers the the following options for potential Britney Spears baby names: Apple, Beta, Cheech, Hotpants, Guarana, or Lil' miss Save-the-Marriage. Since you didn't have those choices, here's what you picked:
Oopsididitagain 30% (11 votes)
Darth 19% (7 votes)
Mellifluous 19% (7 votes)
Ambrosia 13% (5 votes)
Muffin 11% (4 votes)
Sterling 5% (2 votes)
That's right...even though Oopsididitagain would be a more fitting name for their second child, it was the top vote-getter in this edition of the Blogger Poll.
I had a pretty laid back weekend. I figured that I'd just hang out at the house on Friday night, since I was supposed to go to a birthday party at Felt on Saturday. When I checked my voicemail, there was a call from Liz Cate, saying that she was going out with a few friends and asking if I wanted to join them. I wasn't initially convinced that I wanted to go out, but then I decided to take the 11 o'clock commuter rail into Boston so I could meet her at the intimidating-to-pronounce Vox Populi (formerly the couldn't-be-easier-to-pronounce Back Bay Brewing Company). There was a bit of a communication breakdown, and I ended up waiting in line in the rain by myself, only to be allowed into what proved to be a Liz Cate-less bar. So, I was downtown by myself at midnight and decided to cut my losses and head home on the T before I got stuck taking a cab instead.
On Saturday, I found myself in a bit of a conundrum...The Celtics were on TV (Game 7!) and I didn't feel like going out after the previous night's debacle, yet I was supposed to go to a birthday party. I decided that, even though the game was a blowout in favor of the Pacers, I would stay and watch the last of it, missing the last commuter rail into Boston. This meant that I could either drive in, try to catch a bus, or stay at home and stay dry. I took option number three. I soon got a text message from the Birthday Girl, but have yet to respond to it, which brings us to this week's Blog Poll question: What excuse should I use for not attending the Birthday Party?
