BareNaked Lunch
Today, I went to the Prudential Center to see Stephen Paige from the Barenaked Ladies play a solo acoustic set. I was surprised at the fairly small turnout (probably under 200 people), though I guess that's not bad for 12:30 PM on a Friday afternoon. That's part of the reason I went in the first place...when else would I ever be available to see a free show at noon time? I won $30 in our poker game last night, so I had a few extra bucks to buy some sushi in the food court before the show. I got back to the courtyard at 12:20 and the crowd was small enough that I was able to stand right up front. He must have been kind of ticked that he was promoting his new solo album, but the crowd only truly resonded when he played old Barenaked Ladies songs. They said that after the show "Stephen will only be signing items purchased at Barnes and Noble". I smirked at the idea of buying a very random book and having him sign that, but I decided to skip the very long line and the very weak joke and head back to Boston Ave.
For those at work: Be Careful, all of the links below have sound.
Click here to see the hilarious new video from OK GO. I'm wondering how many hours of choreography were involved. Note - I'm realizing now that you need quicktime to see the video (A Million Ways), though you can try the Windows Media link.
Two films that currently intrigue me: Me and You and Everyone We Know and Thumbsucker. Let me know how they are if you see them.
