Long Time, No Mestee
There were some completely amusing comments from yesterday, some of which tested the character limits of the comments section. Lengthy original poems, amusing parodies, bizarre name-dropping...nice job, readers. I should address at least one of them.
Grian,
Do you have illustrating/photoshop capacity on your new lappy? If so, and with all of your free time, perhaps you could devise some sort of humorous poster to display on the blog? I'll even give you a framework in which to operate.
A replication of the biblical Last Supper would be great. Only this time, the attendees would be a seemingly incongruous collection of individuals...a motley crew, if you will. Family members, friends from different walks of life, famous people, etc. You get the idea.
What do you think?
Luv,
Stephanie
Stephanie,
Sadly, I do not have photoshop capabilities on my new laptop. However, if anyone else has access to photoshop, I would highly encourage them to take on this project and share it with us.
Sincerely,
Brian
As it were, I had a good weekend. Party in Harvard Square on Friday, show at the Middle East on Saturday, Psuedo birthday celebration in Londonderry on Sunday.
The headliners at the Middle East show were Lez Zeppelin, an all-girl Led Zeppelin tribute band. I must say, they rocked pretty hard. I actually forgot how much I liked Led Zeppelin until a few songs into their set, but their version of "Babe, I'm Gonna Leave You" was so good, it brought me right back to the laser show at the Planetarium. "Roberta Plant" (who is very hot) had plenty to say about Dubya, but at least they didn't play "When the Levee Breaks" -- though the back of Roberta's shirt did read "Make Levees, Not War". I was slightly skeptical upon Liz Cate's initial invitation, but I'm glad I went.
On my way home, I was walking from Central to Harvard in hopes of catching a cab to Porter, where my car was parked. It was 1:20, so I figured that the T should have stopped running, but as I walked by the outbound entrance, I saw that the gate wasn't closed yet. As luck would have it, there was one more train on its way out, and the attendant even let me through the gate for free. Sweet.
Rudolph has apparently had it up to here.
